Sunday 5th April 2020, 12.30 pm.

Notice to guests who have a booking here at Dennis Cove Campsite with a start date Friday 1st May 2020 onward.

Given the very fast-moving situation, I encourage you to wait before making a decision with respect to your holiday here this summer.
If you were to cancel your holiday now, my only point of reference is our booking terms - i.e. the booking deposit that you have paid will be forfeited.

Sincerely, my desire is to try and offer some gesture of good-will to all those that have booked with us for 2020. However, as a small family run business, until such a time that I am 100% clear as to the guidance and ongoing support available to us, be that from the Government or our Insurer, I'm afraid that I am unable to make a decision as to what that gesture could be.

In the meantime, to paint a picture, we have been instructed by the Government to remain closed until further notice. We expect a review on Monday 13th April. We hope to be able to update our position during that same week. We are keeping positive that we will be able to open in May.

Some guidance that I have already received is that our closure means, if you have personal travel insurance, that you may now be able to claim. I suggest it is worth checking with your provider as this may be a quicker resolution. Should you need copies of bookings/payments to provide to insurers, please let me know.

Best wishes

Harry

Notice to guests who have a booking here at Dennis Cove Campsite with a start date in April 2020.

Until further notice, I have taken the decision to delay the opening of the campsite to Friday 1st May 2020.

With respect to the money that you have paid for your booking, please check your e-mail inbox/junk folder where you will find a message from me on Thursday 19th March.

For those who are planning to visit Padstow specifically for the Obby Oss celebrations at the end of April/early May, please be advised that it will not take place in 2020.
